Our Story
The Oakdale Bar & Grill, located next to the Oakdale Dam on the south side of Lake Freeman in Monticello, Indiana, is a dive-style American Bar and grill that reopened in February 2019. Since then, the owners have been motivated to continue The Oakdale's long legacy and provide a family-friendly atmosphere with exceptional American Cuisine, Cold Beer, and Great Times.
The history of Oakdale started in 1925, when the Oakdale Dam was being constructed. Due to the number of men working on the construction, lodging and food were needed. That was when the Oakdale Inn was born. Over 100 years later, this long-standing establishment has been feeding the people of Monticello ever since.
